The Evil Within 2 sells 75% less than the original at UK retail, as FIFA 18 continues its dominance

The Evil Within 2, and Middle-earth: Shadow of War both failed to top the UK charts in their debut week.

Things were a bit dire in the case of The Evil Within 2, which sold only a quarter of the original game’s debut week sales and landed at number three. The first Evil Within debuted at number two in 2014.

Some of this could be attributed to a the game’s release on Friday, leaving it with only one day on the UK charts. There’s also the fact that digital sales aren’t included in this tally, a segment that’s getting increasingly important.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War was the other hot ticket this week, and despite selling well enough to claim the number two slot, did not not manage to manage to beat FIFA 18.

FIFA 18 continued to reign at the top for the third week in a row, even after sales dropped by 55%. Elsewhere in the charts, Forza 7 dropped to number four, and Destiny 2 left the top five for the first time since release.
